Have been collecting Breitlings for years and it is driving me insane that one watch is missing its outer Breitling yellow box ! Now I've the opportunity to buy another at a steal but guess what its without its outer yellow box. No problem I thought I will just buy them. I read on the internet (so it much be true ) that Breitling will be discontinuing the use and inclusion of the 'Breitling box' later this year because of environmental reasons. I've always said, 'You wear the watch, not the box' . but I also never throw away a box if the watch comes with one. The jaxa opener did the trick after at least a dozen slips. The case had crude threads and the case back had maybe one turn of threads. One or the other was out of round as well. As it turned the back would become floppy loose, then bind, then turn with grating, grinding metal on metal noise.Want to be sure? try to open the watch and see if the movement is decorated. Most of the time if it is, the watch is legit (Unless it's a vintage piece or we are talking about high grade replicas and even those will cost hundreds) The watch is approx 3 years old and costs about 00 new, do you worry that someone who buys such a watch would always keep the box and papers?
