Absolutely love the watch, but just noticed an issue with my date wheel. The date is “stuck” and no longer changing from hour/minute hand movement.I can still change it through quick set but that’s about it.
FWIW the issue was the actual date change mechanism, the wheel itself was fine. If you manually rolled through the dates using quick change it would actually hang up occasionally and need two or three tries to finally switch over.
I have a quick question regarding the change of the Date window after every month. I just noticed today that instead of jumping to the 1st of December, it showed 31. Is this a bug that needs to be adjusted in the movement or is this how it works and that I have to manually change the date every time like this if it gets out of sync?
The 8900 doesn't have a regular quick set date - the way it's done it to use the hour hand that is adjusted in 1 hour clicks, and run that around the dial (forwards or backwards, whichever is closest to the date you need). Last month, my (10/2021 warranty card) AT 38's date window showed an off-centered "1". Without me touching it, the "2" on the following day was properly centered. Using the quick set date this month, the "1" fell into place just fine.
